The relevance of keywords in SEO has declined, but don’t count them out just yet. Plenty of search engines, SEO optimizers, and other content aggregation technologies still rely on keywords to help them index the information found on the page.
If you have a WordPress site, install a plugin that automatically adds tags your page. That way you don’t have to start from scratch thinking about what tags to use to help index your content. The plugins suggest tags based on word complexity, frequency and relevance. Once the the plugin includes the auto tags for your post, you can go through and take out the ones that don’t make any sense.
While there are numerous plugins available to help you add keywords to your post, I prefer to use Auto Tags by Jonathan Foucher. It’s simple and straightforward to use.
Remember, there’s no single solution for improving your site’s SEO ranking, but making sure your posts can be indexed is definitely one of the key components.
